Call for Proposals of Workshop and Tutorials (PDF)
We are soliciting proposals for workshops and tutorials to be held in conjunction with ICS2024, which will be held from
4th to 7th June, 2024, at Kyoto University, Japan.
The scope of workshops and tutorials includes, but is not limited to,
supercomputing related topics shown in ICS2024 call for papers, as well as other ones such as education and emerging
technologies and their trends.

Details for workshops and tutorials:
Format of workshop: Both invitation-based and submission-based WS are acceptable.
Half day and full day workshop or tutorial is available.
Basically, ICS2024 does not provide proceedings to workshops and tutorials.
ICS2024 does not provide WEB pages to workshops and tutorials, but can have links to their WEB pages on the
ICS2024
website.
Basically, ICS2024 requests speakers and participants of workshops and tutorials (including invited ones) to
register
themselves to ICS2024 and pay.
We are expecting up to 25 or 35 participants per each workshop and tutorial according to the capacity of
reserved rooms.
However, we can consider upgrading them if requested.
Requirements for proposal submission:
To submit a workshop proposal, please prepare a PDF file (2 pages max, excluding biographies and references),
including
the following information:
A title for the workshop or tutorial.
A description of the topics and specific issues that the workshop and tutorial will address, how they complement
ICS2024, and why their theme is relevant.
Expected format of the workshop (submission-based, or invitation-based; regular paper presentations, poster
presentations, invited talks, panel discussions, demo sessions, or other ideas to promote active exchange of
ideas).
List of organizers including their short biographies, affiliation, and their expertise in the proposed topic(s).
(preliminary) Program committee, if applicable.
In case the workshop has been previously held, provide information to show that the previous edition(s) were
successful in terms of paper submissions and attendance.
Length of the workshop (half-day(AM, PM, or any) / full-day) and the expected number of participants. If the
number of participants is expected to exceed 35, please specify the maximum number.
