Before attending a workshop or the main conference, please stop by the registration desk and complete check-in process. Please note that the registration desk locations are different between June 4 and other days. And don't forget to bring your photo ID (passport, etc.). The desk staffs will use it to verify your registration information.

For Authors (excl. Workshop-only authors)

  • Please note that the Author Registration deadline is earlier than the Early-bird registration deadline.
  • At least one author of each accepted paper for ICS 2024 must register and pay full registration fee as the Author category, regardless of whether they are students by April 30th, 2024 AOE. Otherwise, your paper will be automatically rejected.
  • For authors with multiple accepted papers, one full registration is valid for one paper. Papers not registered by the deadline will not be published in the ICS 2024 proceedings or included in the conference program.
  • You can purchase up to two extra pages and the fee is 12,000 JPY (approximately 80 USD) per page.

Registration Fee

  • The early bird registration deadline is expected to be Thursday, May 9 AOE, approximately one month before the conference.
  • Only a credit card (VISA, Master, JCB, AMEX, and Diners) is accepted for the payment.
  • ACM members (except students) can register at a discounted price. An attendee registered as a member might be requested to show the membership card at the registration desk at the venue.
  • An attendee registered as a student might be requested to show the student ID card at the registration desk at the venue.
  • The registration fee includes:
    • admission to all the conference sessions
    • lunch on Day 2 (June 6th) and Day 3 (June 7th)
    • coffee breaks for three days (June 5-7), the excursion and the banquet
    • free entry to workshops on June 4th
  • Registration fee is "untaxable" ("fukazei", in Japanese).
  • Registration fee cannot be refunded.

Visa Information

Citizens of certain countries are required to obtain a visa to enter Japan. Please visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) website to determine if you need to obtain a visa and to understand the visa application procedures: MOFA Visa Information.

Important Notice for Visa Support

  • Visa support is provided exclusively for individuals with a specific interest in our event.
    • This includes speakers (main track and workshops), poster presenters, exhibitors, committee members (Program Committee, Organizing Committee, Workshop Committees), researchers actively contributing to the HPC community, and their affiliated students. Inquiries from companies and agencies will not be addressed.
  • Visa support will only be offered after the completion of the registration payment.
    • For visa support requests or related inquiries, please contact visa_request_at_arch.cs.titech.ac.jp (replace '_at_' with @) with your paper info (the title of your accepted paper) or the registration details and proof of payment. Ensure to include "ICS2024 Visa Support Request" in the subject line of your email to facilitate prompt processing.

Requesting a Visa Support Letter

The Association for Computing Machinery does not issue formal invitation letters for visas to attend ACM sponsored conferences. We can however issue a visa support letter. The following info should be posted on the conference website:

  • ACM is able to provide visa support letters to attendees as well as authors with accepted papers, posters, or members of the conference committee.
  • For visa support letters, refer all requests to supportletters@acm.org. Please allow up to 10 business days to receive a letter. All requests are handled in the order they are received. The information below should be included with the request:
    • Your name as it appears on your passport
    • Your current postal mailing address
    • The name of the conference you are registering for
    • Your registration confirmation number
    • If you have any papers accepted for the conference, please provide the title and indicate whether you are the ''sole author'' or a ''co-author''
    • Authors may indicate their paper title. If no paper, speakers can provide the title of their presentation
ACM does not provide letters for transport of vendor or presenter equipment. ACM suggests shipping the materials insured to the conference facility.
